GCG’s Q3 2022 AutoTech Industry Update provides an overview of the latest trends in the sector, including recent performance, valuation multiples, and the state of the middle-market M&A environment.

Key findings include the following:

• The global AutoTech market was valued at $191.7 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow to $430.9 billion at a CAGR of 14.5% from 2021-2027.
• North America has the largest revenue share and is a pioneer in the AutoTech industry due to robust and established automotive company groupings as well as being home to the world’s largest technology companies like MAANG, etc.
• 4 million vehicles with at least level 3 autonomy were sold globally in 2019 and this figure is forecasted to grow to 58 million units by 2030. By 2025, it is forecasted that over 60% of new cars will be semi-autonomous (level 2 autonomy) as companies invest in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
