Joe Schmitt is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of Greenwich Capital Group with over 20 years of corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) experience. Joe leads GCG’s Healthcare practice and has extensive experience working with providers, including hospital systems, physician practice management groups, and ancillary services. He has advised both buyers and sellers of privately held companies and divisions of public companies on a variety of engagements, including acquisition reviews, sale mandates, and strategic options analyses.
Prior to joining GCG, Joe served as Chief Financial Officer of a middle-market utility services company, where he acted as a strategic advisor to the shareholders and helped manage the business through a period of growth and transition. Previously, he was a Vice President with Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC, where he focused on M&A, capital advisory, and business strategy.
Joe has executed more than 50 investment banking engagements and performed advanced financial modeling, including entity valuations, transaction execution, and structuring. He has experience across a range of industries and has developed expertise in the healthcare, business services, and general industrial sectors.
