Charles Zalud is a Vice President at Greenwich Capital Group (“GCG”), where he plays a pivotal role in the firm’s deal sourcing, due diligence, and deal execution efforts. Charles has broad experience involving change of control acquisitions and minority equity investments in the lower middle market. He has consulted companies across many industries, including a $3 billion consumer products manufacturer.

Prior to joining GCG, Charles held the role of Vice President at a private equity focused family office where he led deal execution in the firm’s direct investing mandate, covering deal sourcing, valuation, due diligence, financing arrangement, and legal documentation support. In addition to his deal execution responsibilities, Charles was an integral resource to the firm’s portfolio companies, working alongside management to determine growth drivers, develop a competitive strategy and create proper risk management protocols ensuring long-term sustainability. Previously, Charles was an Analyst with an institutional investment consulting firm where he advised public pension plans, endowment funds, and foundations regarding private fund allocations totaling $250 million.

He is a CFA Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Detroit. Additionally, Charles serves as Trustee to Crossroads of Michigan, a social service agency in Detroit.
