GCG’s Q2 2023 AdTech and Marketing Services Industry Update provides an overview of the latest trends in the sector, including recent performance, valuation multiples, and the state of the middle-market M&A environment.

Key findings include the following:

  • In Q2 2023, there were 84 announced AdTech and Marketing Services transactions, down from 86 in Q1 2023 and down from 93 in the prior year’s Q2
  • AdTech businesses traded at an average LTM EBITDA multiple of 23.9x in Q2 2023, down from the prior quarter’s average of 34.3x
  • Digital marketing services businesses traded at an average LTM EBITDA multiple of 9.6x in Q2 2023, down from the prior quarter’s average of 12.8x
