GCG’s Q4 2022 AutoTech Industry Update provides an overview of the latest trends in the sector, including recent performance, valuation multiples, and the state of the middle-market M&A environment.
Key findings include the following:
- In Q4 2022, there were 12 announced AutoTech Software and Hardware transactions, up from 4 in Q3 and down from 13 in the prior year’s Q4. With a similar deal volume to Q4 2021, deal value increased with an average deal value of $605 million in Q4, up from $125 million in Q4 2021.
- North America has the largest revenue share of the global AutoTech market and has been a pioneer in the AutoTech industry due to robust and established automotive company groupings and being home to large technology companies.
- A subset of the overall AutoTech market, the ADAS Sensor market size is expected to grow from $15.0 billion to $43.1 billion at a CAGR of 14.1% from 2022-2030.
