GCG’s Q3 2022 AdTech and Marketing Services Industry Update provides an overview of the latest trends in the sector, including recent performance, valuation multiples, and the state of the middle-market M&A environment.
Key findings include the following:
- In Q3 2022, there were 101 announced AdTech and Marketing Services transactions, up from 94 in Q2 and down from 126 in the prior year’s Q3. While deal activity increased in the vertical, the average deal value was $89 million in Q3, down from $126 million in Q2.
- As per the three prominent global ad agencies Magna, Zenith, and GroupM, the market growth witnessed in 2021 is expected to continue in 2022, with each of the three firms predicting between 6 – 9% ad spending growth.
- North America is the largest market for digital marketing software and is forecasted to have a 36.5% total digital marketing software market share.
